FIFA EDUCATIONAL TRAINING MATERIAL

 

Match official accreditation needs to be renewed every four years.
During that period the match official needs to be active during at least two of the four years and also undertake various activities during those active years.  The activities are to be recorded in the Official’s Log.
During the final year of your accreditation all match officials (excluding Level 4 Referees) must also successfully pass a Laws of the Game examination.

Level 4 Examinations - a maximum of three attempts to meet the required competency level.
Examinations consist of 40 multiple choice questions.  Competency mark is 70%.
Classroom: Three multiple choice examinations.  There is no minimum waiting time between examination attempts.
Online: Two multiple choice examinations.  The third attempt must be made on application to their local referee organisation.
Participants may be offered additional opportunities to meet the required competency level in the examinable components of this course.

Level 3 Examinations consist of 20 multiple choice questions, 10 video incidents and 5 written responses.  Competency mark is 70%.
Examinations: A maximum of three attempts to meet the required competency level.
Practical: A reasonable number of attempts to meet the required competency level.

Level 2 Examinations consist of 40 multiple choice questions, 20 video incidents and 10 written responses.  Competency mark is 80%.
Examinations: A maximum of three attempts to meet the required competency level.
Practical: A reasonable number of attempts to meet the required competency level.

Level 1 Examinations consist of 40 multiple choice questions, 20 video incidents and 10 written responses.  Competency mark is 85%.
Examinations: A maximum of three attempts to meet the required competency level.
Practical: A reasonable number of attempts to meet the required competency level.
Candidates course folders must be reviewed by FFA before accreditation is finalised.
