Referees Wanted!

Referees Courses are run throughout the year.  You must be at least 13 years old to become a referee.  Don't hesitate to get in touch with GDFRA for when the next one will be conducted.

Practical Session: This session covers positioning, signalling, flag use, appointments, and Granville District Soccer Football Association Rules and Procedures.

Note: To complete the Level 4 course, candidates looking to become referees within the GDFRA must first complete the six-module online course.  This course is FREE to anyone and can be completed in your own time, with candidates who successfully complete the course receiving a certificate online as proof of completing the course.   Candidates are expected to study their law books and ask relevant questions when any points of the Level 4 Course are not understood. Level 3 Referee Courses (16+)

The Senior Football Match Official (Level 3 Referee) course is tailored for those who wish to take their first steps into officiating senior-level football. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the Laws Of the Game as applied to adult competitions. Participants will learn the key aspects of match control and decision-making, preparing them for the demands of amateur senior football organised by Member Federations and Associations. Participants are required to be a minimum of 16 years old to attend this course. To register for a Level 3 Course, please follow the below steps:

Step 1: Log in to etrainu using this link https://learn.footballaustralia.com.au/training/index.cfm?event=page.login using the ‘Learner – Football Account’ option using your Play Football log in details. Once logged in, please click on training library on the left hand side. Then click on ‘Referee – Community’, then click on ‘Senior Football Match Official – National Online Element’. Note: there is a $33 fee set by Football Australia to access the modules.
